Primary Focus:

As the Application Implementation Manager at AEMC, your primary responsibility will be to lead the charge in implementing IT solutions that drive operational effectiveness and efficiency. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring successful implementations and seamless integration into our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implementation Leadership:

  • Lead the implementation of IT solutions: Spearhead the planning, execution, and closure of technology-related projects, ensuring successful implementation within the specified timelines;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams and external service providers to align the implementation process with organizational needs;
  • Drive change: Facilitate process design changes through thorough business and systems analysis to ensure effective integration; and
  • Procure and implement software: Research and select software applications that align with our IT strategy and budget, driving successful adoption within the organization.

2. Application Management:

  • High-level support: Provide top-tier support for our business information systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring seamless application performance;
  • Documentation: Develop comprehensive system guidelines, manuals, and technical procedures for both new and existing applications; and
  • Escalation: Act as the main point of escalation for the business when engaging with managed service providers when fixing service issues.

3. Service Delivery:

  • Enhance processes and systems: Identify opportunities to improve usability and productivity in collaboration with internal stakeholders;
  • Requirements articulation: Clearly articulate requirements and create documentation to support project execution and process enhancement; and
  • User support and training: Offer user support on applications, including conducting training sessions and providing timely assistance.

Other Duties:

  • Collaboration: Assist the Senior IT Project Manager in developing long term plans to address user technology needs, including implementing the IT Strategic Plan; and
  • Compliance: Adhere to statutory obligations, organizational values, and policies to support AEMC's mission and vision.

About You:

  • Implementation Expertise: Demonstrated track record of successfully leading IT solution implementations;
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate user needs into effective technical solutions;
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical knowledge to diverse audiences;
  • Problem-Solving: A resourceful problem solver with a knack for navigating complex issues and implementing solutions;
  • Team Player: Thrives as part of a small, closely-knit team;
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and various software applications; and
  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications and tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or Computer Science.
