An excellent opportunity is available for a Civil Technical Officer in the Upper Tumut region of Snowy Hydro. In this role, reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the health and performance of regional civil assets, driving improvements, and setting high standards for technical expertise and values.

Work a 4-day week in Cabramurra NSW under a Drive-in, Drive-out roster, striking a perfect work-life balance.

  • Provide technical support to the maintenance team for civil assets as required
  • Coach and mentor maintenance team members in civil asset knowledge
  • Review maintenance processes for effectiveness and implement necessary improvements
  • Identify civil asset health issues and improvement opportunities through routine maintenance
  • Conduct technical condition assessments, recommend corrective actions, and update maintenance tasks
  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations and contribute to detailed assessments
  • Drive the implementation of corrective actions for civil asset defects and risks
  • Plan and oversee repair and improvement work on civil assets
  • Act as an operational stakeholder for civil capital projects
  • Keep updated on environmental management requirements and ensure compliance

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Diploma or higher academic qualification in civil infrastructure or project management (desirable)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, report writing capabilities
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Knowledge of civil maintenance program requirements and management practices
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including spreadsheets and maintenance management systems
