About The Practice:

This Cardiovascular Clinic is a premier cardiology practice in Tasmania. The clinic provides the highest standard of patient care. The team of skilled professionals is committed to improving cardiovascular health through advanced diagnostic services and compassionate care. A position for a cardiac sonographer has become available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality echo cardiograms including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echo cardiograms.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures to ensure optimal imaging.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other health care professionals to interpret results and discuss findings.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment in optimal working condition, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping in compliance with clinical protocols and regulations.
  • Provide patient education and support, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with advancements in the field.
  • Provide support to more than one clinic - only 20 min drive away from one clinic to the other

Qualifications:

  • Current registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care.
