As the Menu Monitor your role will be to provide high quality food services to our patients and families.
The role involves responsibilities for the co-ordination and distribution of the patient menus, assisting patients with making suitable menu choices consistent with their dietary requirements and processing of menus to provide accurate orders for kitchen production and patient service.
The menu monitor liaises regularly with dietitians and nursing staff about patients' needs.You will also be cross-trained as a hospitality assistant which involves assisting with many of the activities involved with food production, distribution and food storage to ensure patients receive high quality meals and feeds in a timely and accurate manner.
What you bringEssential:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with food services staff, patients, doctors, nursing staff, clinical dietitians and speech pathologists
Understanding of the importance in compliance with hospital policies related to the rights of staff privacy and patient confidentiality
High standard of personal presentation and hygiene
Have, or be willing to obtain, Certificate II / III in Health Support Services
Current Working With Vulnerable People's (WWVP) Registration
COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt
Highly Desirable:
Relevant Nutrition Qualification
Knowledge/experience of therapeutic diets and allergen-free meals
Previous experience in a similar role or Hospital setting
Previous experience with an electronic menu management system
