Roster: Operational from Monday to Friday, between 8 am to 8 pm.

Requirements: Must be an Australian citizen.

About the Role

As a Customer Contact Officer, your role involves providing assistance and information to customers on behalf of a Federal Government Agency.

You'll be part of a fast-paced Contact Centre environment, where priorities may change frequently based on customer needs.

In this position, you will impact the lives of individuals with disabilities and service providers by addressing customer inquiries via phone, email, and web chat channels.

About You

  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Show professionalism and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to navigate operational documents, find solutions, and provide confident support to customers.
  • Comfortable using multiple computer screens and applications simultaneously.
  • Resilient, composed under pressure, and capable of empathizing with customers.

You will also need

  • Australian citizenship with the ability to provide proof, including passport or birth certificate.
  • Able to pass pre-employment screenings and security checks.
  • Flexible to work varying shifts from 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • A secure workspace with necessary equipment for your duties.

Important to know

  • Our team handles inquiries from vulnerable customers, occasionally involving distressing information. While you won't manage these interactions directly, you'll be trained on proper procedures and have support available.
  • Regular check-ins with your Team Leader and access to resources for personal support are provided.
