HAYLO People are experts in Personal Injury and General Insurance recruitment, we have partnered with a global mining and metals company to find an experienced workers compensation specialist.

This is a unique opportunity for a 6-month temporary contract in the Wollongong area. A car is required for traveling between local sites. The position is Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week.

• Be provided with support yet also the ability to manage your day-to-day and work independently

The role

• Responsible for maintaining contact with legal team regarding all current legal workers compensation claims (Statutory Workers Comp and Common Law matters)
• Work with sites in responding to Subpoenas received regarding injuries onsite.
• Assist legal counsel in defending injury claims.
• Assistance in working through potential claims that could proceed to common law (i.e. Dust disease cases and psychological).
• Additional Administration depending upon workload.

About you

• You are an experienced workers compensation professional with a strong understanding of Common Law and/or Public Liability
• Strong technical experience within the NSW workers compensation scheme.
• Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities
• Exceptional problem solving and strategic thinking skills
