Current opportunity

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team of tax professionals that have exceptional technical and industry knowledge. This role will see you advise a range of clients on Goods and Services (GST), state taxes and duties (including duty, payroll tax and land tax) across all Australian jurisdictions and fuel tax credits across different sectors. A strong technical knowledge base is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice & consultancy services across a range of indirect tax matters.
  • Act as the key contact for agreed clients and independently manage client files and billing processes.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients and being able to identify opportunities to add value and grow the business.
  • Developing new client relationships and working with senior member of the tax practice to pursue opportunities and obtain new work.
  • Mentor junior team members and assist with technical training and development.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or Law
  • Demonstrated experience working in Indirect Tax in a Legal firm or Professional Services
  • Excellent client advisory and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience meeting with and consulting to a wide range of clients across different industry sectors
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor junior staff
