Who are we looking for?

We're looking for a Civil Drafter to join our team based in either our Gold Coast or Brisbane team to assist in the design and detailing of all aspects of civil works on transport, road and highway infrastructure projects; including earthworks, roadworks, PUP / services coordination, and stormwater design.

Join our team of globally connected specialists to help solve complex transport challenges and experience ground-breaking projects from idea to delivery, and beyond.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Support project teams on a variety of Department of Transport and Main Roads, Local Government and Urban Development projects.
• Preparation of drawings, models, and designs in 2D and 3D format to meet client specifications, project briefs and tenders.
• Prepare detail drawings based on previous examples and utilising basic knowledge of relevant design and drafting principles.
• Prepare design drawings utilising basic knowledge of design skills in relevant discipline.
• Receive training in various phases of office and field work including design, drawings, studies and assist in the preparation of minor reports.
• Assist in the training of trainee drafters.
• Coordination of basic drafting work as assigned by senior staff and manages own budget as set by the Job Manager.

What you will bring to the team

• A minimum of 35 years' experience in AutoCAD drafting of transport, road and highway infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge and understanding of TMR standards and approved practices to be applied to major road authorities throughout Australia.
• Direct road and highway design experience using AutoCAD.
• Capability in compiling/modifying AutoCAD routines for the automation of repetitive tasks.
• The ability to work alongside engineers to prepare detailed drawings, utilising analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Diploma or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or similar qualification.
