We're the video platform designed for everyday editors and creators.

About the Team

Although Clipchamp primarily operates from Australia, the Office Product Group comprises a diverse global team with offices in five countries. Joining Clipchamp means becoming part of a team spread across the world, dedicated to fostering connections regardless of geographical boundaries.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field along with 2+ years of data-science experience (e.g., handling structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques, and presenting results) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent communicator with adept stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical and critical thinker capable of identifying underlying issues beyond the immediate query.
  • Demonstrated mathematical prowess with a solid grasp of probability and statistics.
  • Proficiency in Data Visualization (proficiency in PowerBI is advantageous).
  • Strong programming capabilities in Python, R, or SQL.
  • Knowledge of ETL pipelines.

Other Requirements

Must meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening prerequisites for this role, including specialized security screenings such as the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: Mandatory clearance required post hiring/transfer and subsequently every two years.

Bonus points if you:

  • Are passionate about online video and enjoy tackling novel, challenging problems.
  • Possess start-up experience, navigating the dynamic landscape, engaging in experimentation, driving innovation, and directly influencing company direction.
  • Have hands-on exposure to modern product stack for road mapping, documentation, sprint planning, research, and more.
  • Have worked with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and predictive modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Data: Utilize statistical tools to recognize, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in intricate datasets to aid in diagnosis and forecasting.
  • Prepare Reports: Compile and present management reports showcasing trends, patterns, and predictions derived from relevant data.
  • Support Data Engineering: Aid data engineers in data transformation and modeling activities.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Design dashboards, craft visual representations, and automate report generation.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product teams, leadership, and other departments.
  • Data Strategy: Contribute to data strategy, conduct feasibility analysis, and uncover innovation prospects.
  • Promote Data Literacy: Assist in promoting data literacy organization-wide.
