We are excited to announce that applications are open for an On Bench Supervisor role at our South Walker Creek Site, QLD. This is a Drive-in Drive-out (DIDO) position with a 7/7 roster and camp facilities provided throughout the roster duration.

On Bench Supervisors play a vital role in building trusted relationships with clients and overseeing a skilled team of Shotfirers, MMU Operators, and Blast Assistants. Responsibilities include attending client meetings, conducting incident investigations, and contributing to safety management plans.

This position offers a great opportunity for a long-term site-based Supervisory role or as a stepping stone into a managerial career at Orica. Along with camp and meals during the rostered period, you will receive a tool of trade vehicle, a phone, and a laptop.

• Manage raw material logistics to site;
• Ensure operational processes meet Orica and customer standards;
• Comply with legislative requirements.

• 3+ years of experience in operational leadership;
• Effective people leadership and management abilities;
• Understanding of Drill & Blast processes in an open-cut mine;
• Experience in working with or leading a mine or quarry blast crew;
• Valid Heavy Rigid driving license (preferred);
• Intermediate computing skills;
• Decisive: Demonstrated ability to make quick and sound decisions;
• Energy and Urgency: Show urgency and energy to drive consistent team performance;
• Ownership: Take responsibility for assigned tasks and team deliverables;
• Consistency, Follow-up, and Tenacity: Consistently follow up to ensure timely and quality task completion;
