The Company

This market leading, global Wholesaler/Distributor provides premium products to key retailers and Distribution networks within Australia. This multi-entity company has experienced strong growth with its well-established brands being recognised industry wide for their premium quality. The organisation is undergoing a period of change and transformation, consolidating and merging with another entity to accelerate its growth and expansion plans in Australia.

The Role

To start ASAP based in their Eastern suburbs office, this temp to permanent position (temp 9 + months, with potential to become permanent) is a fantastic opportunity to join a large and close-knit finance team, reporting directly to the Company Accountant. This a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of a global business and work with a highly supportive and high performing team.

The position suits a hungry, ambitious and technically astute CPA/CA qualified Accountant looking to advance their career down the track. The role is fluid and will give you the ability to grow/enhance your skillset with the company's consolidation/transformation. This busy and hands on/multi-faceted role will also require you to perform some reporting, G/L and accounting up to trial balance.

Your primary duties will comprise of:

  • Fixed assets
  • Journals
  • Accruals
  • Assist with monthly management reports
  • G/L + B/S recs
  • P/L/Cash flow forecasting/budgeting
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • FBT processing
  • Bank and account reconciliations
  • Assist with end of month/year reporting
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

About You

A team player and self-starter, you will be a highly competent CPA/CA qualified Accountant. Ideally you will have minimum 5 + years' industry experience across the main accounting functions in G/L Recs, Cash flow, fixed asset, and B/S Recs. Candidates with experience in the Wholesale industry with experience in stock/inventory environments will be highly regarded.

You will need to have an ability to embrace change and be adaptable with the fluid nature of this role. The successful candidate will obtain the following attributes:
