Bindi Enterprises is a unique community service provider offering a range of supported employment opportunities and training for local people with disability. The Senior Arts Support Worker role is to provide person centred support artists to help realise and grow their Digital Art practices through the conception and delivery of courses and personalised projects.

In addition, some of the duties include:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver quality Digital Art workshops
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience with Digital Art Forms
  • Identify participant's training support needs
  • Organising annual Digital Art exhibition
  • Liaise with Stakeholders/NDIS to secure participants funding for attendance
  • Develop and manage suite of software and hardware
  • Support participants through the active development of supportive learning environments and effective behaviour management practices
  • Regularly assess participants for developmental, feedback and reporting
  • Maintain participant records and samples of work and report on participant performance to Bindi management and other stakeholders as required
  • Identify external opportunities and assist participation of artists work in industry events

We're looking for a people-person, an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills with a real passion for supporting people in the community

  • Previous experience supporting people with a disability and/or challenging behaviour, preferably in an education or employment environment
  • Knowledge of local community networks, training and employment opportunities
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and relate well to people we support and their families
  • Background in various categories of Digital Art
  • Computer literate with competent administration and documentation skills
  • First Aid certificate, NDIS Workers Clearance and full unrestricted driver's licence
  • Certificate III/IV in Disabilities, Community Services, Social Sciences, Youth Work will be highly regarded although not essential
  • Degree or similar qualification or experience in Fine Arts is preferred
  • Up to date Covid vaccinations
