The Role:


Working on a rotating roster covering morning and evening shifts an exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and qualified aircraft refueller to join our team based in Richmond, NSW.

This position will support the Supervisor in safely providing and delivering efficient refuelling/de-fuelling services for the Defence fleet.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Daily vehicle inspections, including final quality checks
  • Conduct aircraft refuelling duties
  • Refuelling tanker records and documentation are to be fully maintained
  • Complete fuel farm operator level maintenance as required.
  • Conduct safety site inductions and observations
  • Receive and direct any customer queries and/or complaints

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid Australian drivers' licence with a safe driving history
  • Minimum HC (Heavy Combination driver's licence)
  • Bulk Dangerous Goods (DG) licence
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent work ethic and forward thinker

You must be an Australian Citizen and be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance

About you:

  • Experience working within an airport or fuels environment (desirable but not essential)
  • Heavy vehicle driving experience
  • Fuel Quality Control (FQC) qualification or willingness to obtain
  • Willingness to undertake further training to satisfy client requirements.
  • Current First Aid qualifications
  • Must be flexible if needed to extend their shift and available for 'Out of Hours' callout duties
  • Ability to work within a team plus excellent selfmanagement skills
