Job Description:

Our Family:

  • My wife is a a doctor currently working day shifts on Monday
  • Wednesday and we are looking for services from 8am to 5pm on these days and a flexible 6 to 8 hour day on Thursday. There may be additional evening hours on occasion where agreed, and possibly travel. I work in banking in the city and sometimes have evening events or travel.

Your Duties:

  • Monday to Wednesday will be sole charge of our 2.5 year old with occasional school drop off and/or collection for our 6 year old using our family vehicle. During school holidays, care will be of both children. Thursday will be a flexible day of hours and can contain a mix of childcare and mother's helper/housekeeping duties if preferred.

Day to day duties include:

Meal preparation (simple lunch and snacks with dinner usually pre-prepared/frozen Mon-Wed) Plan indoor and outdoor activities including day trips Plan educational activities including reading, music, craft Transport and participation in gymnastics lesson on Wednesday mornings and outings to the park and music class Encourage both independent and interactive play Some light housework duties as needed (we have a regular weekly cleaner); general tidy up after meals, laundry and folding if time available.

Car provided.

Our Perfect Caregiver:

  • This position would suit a responsible, mature minded person who has a genuine interest in children. You must be honest, patient, gentle, show empathy, care, and appreciate the challenges that the early years have on a child. Prior experience with references essential.

The suitable applicant must meet the following criteria:

First Aid Certification Driver's License Police/WWC Check Up to date vaccination Non smoker We are on a bus route if you do not own your own vehicle.
