Due to an internal promotion this exciting opportunity to join the Leadership team as Operations Manager has become available at Holiday Inn Sydney Airport.

Traditionally this role has been the perfect stepping stone to the pathway of General Manager, and we are looking for our next superstar to develop and nurture.

In turn we are looking for a people-focused Leader who can mentor, support and foster the career development of our strong team of operational leaders.


With the recent completion of Holiday Inn Sydney Airport's multi-million-dollar refurbishment, our new rooms' product offers elevated accommodation for a revolutionary transformation to the airport hotel experience.

Guests are greeted with earthy tones from bronze light fixtures and on-trend leather headboards, inviting an ultimate atmosphere of warmth and comfort.

Just the beginning of elevation to the experience at Holiday Inn Sydney Airport, we are excited to take our hotel to new heights in 2024 and beyond.


Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

  • Working closely with your General Manager
  • while also occasionally stepping up in their absence
  • Lead the daytoday operations of the hotel to enable your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences in Front Office, Food & Beverage and Housekeeping
  • Establishing and implementing service recovery guidelines to ensure complete guest satisfaction
  • Responding to guest complaints or concerns in a prompt and professional manner
  • Helping your General Manager to develop, implement and monitor financial and operating plans to safeguard guest satisfaction and promote profitability
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, policies and procedures

What We need from you:

  • At least 35 years of Guest Service/Hotel experience in a Senior Leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration
  • A demonstrated capability of collaborating with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and passionate about developing your team
  • Strategic thinking, the ability to explore new ways of working and have an open mind around how we can drive the Hotel forward
  • You must also meet the legal requirements to work in Australia without restrictions.
