Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best fit Youth Workers to Youth Service Organisations across Australia.

This role is based in

Artarmon & Turramurra.

Overview of the role:

  • Support young people aged 1218 years old in Residential Care Services.
-
24-hour care model - staff are required to work a combination of morning (from 7am), afternoon (from 3pm) and sleep over shifts
:

  • Deliver high quality care to young people who are unable to live with their families, kinship carers or foster carers.
  • Respond to the young person's emotional and functional needs and the development of their personal skills.
  • Work within a team to provide trauma informed & therapeutic care to young people who present complex needs due to past trauma and abuse.
  • Provide a safe and home environment while supporting young people to achieve their goals.
  • Assist with administrative requirements, household duties and transportation.

What you need:

  • A minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or a recognised tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Community Services or a related qualification
  • Full Australian driver's license
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR
  • Working with Children Check (paid employee status)
  • National Police Check
  • A reliable car with current registration & insurance
  • Reliable smart phone with data
  • Ability to work a combination of morning, afternoon & sleep over shifts.
  • Previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs in an out of home care setting (preferred)
  • Therapeutic Crisis Intervention TCI Training (preferred)
