Commercial Carpentry Estimator

We are looking for an Estimator to become a valued member of our team. The successful Candidate must be able to assess the tender documents and deliver completed tender assessment accurately and on time ready for final approval by management.

We are seeking someone who is looking for a company that has a history of delivering quality projects in all Commercial sectors in a supportive and friendly environment.

Your role will be varied and the autonomy to make the role your own with the support of the Company Director and other Senior staff.

Job Description

An opportunity has become available for an Estimator to join the already successful and high performing team at KC Carpentry & Cladding.

This outstanding role will allow you to utilize your estimating experience. You duties will be varied and include:

• Being an integral team member, an excellent leader and Collaborator who achieves results
• The ability to assess tender documents and present the full detail of the tender whilst analyzing risk and opportunity before submission
• The ability to meet deadlines
• Pricing from first principles when standard rates don't apply
• Developing construction programs for the tenders
• Being self-motivated whilst driving outcomes with staff and subcontractors alike
• Assist in marketing, identifying new opportunities, submit EOI's and target new clients

Your Profile

To be a successful candidate you will need:

• A thorough experience and understanding of good tendering practices with a proven ability to be successful in tenders
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of building materials, detail and construction methodology
• The ability to think strategically and have excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills including with sub-contractors, Clients, Architects and project managers.
• Knowledge of ProtEst Estimating Software highly regarded.
