The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Analyst to join our Commercial and Planning Team. This role offers broad exposure across three sub-functions: Commercial Decision Support, FP&A, and Investor Relations.

As you grow your knowledge of the business, you'll have the chance to specialise and advance in your chosen sub-function.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain operational and company data visualisation dashboards, and prepare ongoing functional reports.
  • Take ownership of the company Financial Operating Model, including; Actualizing for results, Performing scenario and sensitivity analysis to understand the key drivers impacting the business, Overlaying company plans and eforecasting the company trajectory.
  • Manage functional spend against budget and reforecast expenditures as needed.
  • Partner with various business functions to understand data requirements and improve business reporting.
  • Collaborate with Senior Commercial Analysts to provide decision support to key stakeholders using data and analytical tools.
  • Support development of all communication materials outlining the Pet Circle strategic, operational and financial narrative to the Board and investors
  • Conduct or leverage analysis on industry, market, and company trends for use in commercial decisions and communications.

  • Collaborating effectively with different functions and the broader Finance team to add value.
  • Working autonomously with limited guidance, exercising good judgement, and being comfortable with imperfect information and inputs.
  • Well organised, highly motivated, commercially oriented and an eye for detail that ensures delivers are high quality and articulated clearly

Your Ideal Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in business partnering and working in a crossfunctional team environment.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint (or Google Office equivalents).
  • A selfstarter who is resultsoriented, decisive, and resilient, with the ability to respond and adapt to an agile environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Experienced in financial modelling with an ability to research and analyse complex issues
  • Tertiary qualification with 12 years of relevant experience ideal for someone early in their career or someone looking to break into the Commercial Finance space
