Location/Division Specific Information
The commercial leader role will be based in Australia and cover the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region.

How will you make an impact?


As a commercial leader, you will define and drive sales strategies, provide leadership and guidance to subordinates and ensure the achievement of bookings, revenue, and business goals.


What will you do?

  • Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the overall company strategy and drive business growth in the ANZ region.
  • Manage a team of sales professionals, providing coaching and mentoring to improve their skills and performance.
  • Monitor team performance, set performance goals, and provide regular feedback to ensure that the team is meeting its objectives.
  • Tackle sophisticated business problems related to sales and account management, using analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Maintain accurate quarterly booking and revenue forecasts.
  • Confirm all system configurations, specifications and acceptance conditions are appropriate for closing orders.
  • Work with Field Service and Application team to achieve excellent customer happiness
  • Anticipating driven threats or opportunities. Compiling valuable competitive intelligence that facilitates compelling value propositions differentiating MSD EM products and services from competitors
  • Possessing a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and priorities across the purchase and use cycle and using this to provide accurate and concrete customer voice to guide decision making. Using the customer first demeanor to generate solutions that drive customer value and profit.
  • Cover sales account manager role in either Life Science or Material Science before the new headcount is approved.

How will you get there?

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in science or Engineering

Experience

  • Minimum of 10+ years sales experience, at least 5 years of experience in sales management role
  • Shown ability to effectively connect with diverse audiences is critical to the success of this position.
  • Proven experience in developing cases and optimally leading business objectives.
