About the Role

Do you love helping people and ensuring their safety? RACQ is looking for committed individuals to join our top-notch team of Vehicle Recovery Officers.

As a Vehicle Recovery Officer, your job is to operate our modern fleet of Attenuators and Tow Trucks, always ready to help RACQ members and other drivers in tough situations. Your role is essential in turning challenging days into better ones, offering expert assistance and peace of mind to those stuck on the road.

Our team focuses on helping with breakdowns, not accidents, allowing you to concentrate on serving RACQ members and other urban drivers, guaranteeing a positive customer experience every time.

About You

  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a 38-hour rotating roster with 8-10 hour shifts from Monday to Friday, plus one Saturday shift every 6 weeks. Work conveniently located at Eight Mile Plains.
  • Impeccable Driving History: Maintain a clean driving record for the past 5 years.
  • License and Qualifications: Must have an MR License or higher and hold a General Induction White Card.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using smartphones, tablets, and computer systems.
  • Communication and Conflict Management: Excellent communication skills and ability to handle conflict situations effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in dynamic roadside scenarios.
  • Opportunities for Growth: Military or emergency service background is advantageous, with career advancement possibilities within RACQ.
  • Pre-Employment Requirements: Willing to undergo pre-employment medical checks, drug & alcohol screening, and criminal record checks.
