Our client specialises in insurance and remedial construction for all building types including residential, commercial and strata, they are also undertaking bespoke high-end fit-out and renovations for our repeat clientele. Company is based in Rozelle and they service the wider Sydney metro area.

Job Description:
Insurance Repairs Estimator/Supervisor specialising in Business-As-Usual (BAU) and Event claims, responsible for assessing 6-8 claims daily, with a balanced schedule of 3 days on the road and 2 days in the office. role is crucial in providing accurate estimates, ensuring adherence to SLAs, and demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write building insurance assessment reports
  • Supervise building reinstatement works
  • Engage, coordinate & manage trades during the restoration process for buildings damaged by insurable events
  • Communicate & negotiate with trades to track the progress of jobs
  • Liaise between both insurance companies & insured parties
  • Coordinate access to properties with insured parties
  • Dispute/issue resolution as required
  • Ensure all work conforms to legislative & contractual OH&S requirements
  • Ensure all inspections, certificates of final inspection from Building Surveyor & relevant documentation is signed off
ABOUT YOU
    • Min 3 years' experience in a insurance onsite supervising/estimating role
    • Experience within insurance building
    • Trade certificates in building (carpentry preferred) or a related discipline
    • Excellent organisational & time management skills
    • Strong computer skills
    • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
    • A proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Familiarity with OHS practices, legislation & regulations
    • Familiarity with current market rates & trades.
    • The ability to provide quality estimates without need for outside quotes
    • Current and valid motor vehicle license
