We are seeking a passionate and experienced Emergency Nurse Team Leader to join our dynamic team and lead our emergency nursing staff.

Position Overview:
As the Emergency Nurse Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the emergency nursing team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our patients. You will be responsible for providing leadership, support, and guidance to our nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, and ensuring efficient workflow within the emergency department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the emergency nursing team, including roster management, performance evaluation, and professional development.
  • Coordinate and prioritize patient care to ensure timely and effective delivery of emergency nursing services.
  • Provide hands-on nursing care to patients during high-volume periods or complex cases.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for nursing staff, facilitating ongoing education and training initiatives.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of emergency nursing practice.

About You:

  • Cert IV in Vet Nursing or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency and critical care nursing, with demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of emergency nursing practices and procedures.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
