This is an exciting opportunity for a temporary position working closely with the hospital executive team providing managerial support to the Director of Medical Services and the Operations Manager.

This role undertakes secretarial support, medical rostering, Healthroster management and telecommunications/ switchboard management.

Position liaises with the Medical Workforce Manager MHDA to address Senior Medical Officer and Junior Medical officer workforce, recruitment, and management requirements.

Additionally, the position manages administrative staff working on the switchboard.

Macquarie Hospital is a declared, low-secure, 195 bed mental health facility with 14 beds for adult acute admissions and 181 beds in long term and short term rehabilitation services for consumers with schizophrenia, dual diagnosis and other enduring psychotic illnesses.

It is located in North Ryde, 22km from the CBD of Sydney on approximately 42 hectares of parkland.

The Manager Medical administration role is based with the hospital Executive team and works closely with the Director of Medical Services and the Operations Manager.


What you'll be doing
Provision of managerial support for the Director of Medical Services and the Operations Manager. This role undertakes secretarial support, medical rostering, Healthroster management and telecommunications/ switchboard management.

Position liaises with the Medical Workforce Manager MHDA to address Senior Medical Officer and Junior Medical officer workforce, recruitment, and management requirements.

Additionally, the position manages administrative staff working on the switchboard.

  • Qualifications in office management, office administration, secretarial support with demonstrated experience.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
  • Recent staff management and supervision skills and experience
