About the role


WesTrac is seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Demand Analyst to join our Planning and Inventory Team based at our Tomago Branch.


Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, the Demand Analyst plays a crucial role in WesTrac's ability to plan proactively and effectively, ensuring that we are in the best possible position to deliver on sales opportunities and fulfill customer requirements.

This is a permanent full time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse demand (plan vs unplanned) data for components and convert into a component and labour demand
  • Identify and analyse market trends and variances to achieve accurate forecasts
  • Make recommendations to the business that drive strategic planning and decision making
  • Maintain a cross functional demand tracking tool collating all business units with assumed demand inputs (AMT)
  • Build relationships with various business units for accurate data input into a centralised planning tool (AMT)
  • Comply with WesTrac's standards, procedures and systems for planning and scheduling

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Economics, Business or Finance or similar experience
  • Proven experience in a planning/forecasting role with an understanding of financial principals (e.g., budgeting, forecasting)
  • Advanced time management and organisational skills
  • Welldeveloped analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking abilities
  • Intermediate MS Project & Excel skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to develop build and maintain relationships
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
  • PowerBi experience would be advantageous
