  • Scripted Original. The BINGE and Foxtel Originals slate is growing, and we need you to help bring our Australian content strategy to life.


Reporting to the Head of Scripted Originals, your role will be providing high level assessment of drama and comedy series to assist in the development and growth of the Scripted Originals slate.

This is a pivotal role to ensure that creative excellence and the highest standards are maintained for BINGE and Foxtel subscribers.

Our Scripted Originals Production department is responsible for hugely successful and Logie award-winning BINGE Originals such as Colin from Accounts, The Twelve and Love Me to name a few

Your responsibilities:

  • Conduct and understand audience assessment and knowledge of appeal
  • Talent tracking emerging and seasoned on and offscreen talent
  • Reading and evaluating pitches and scripts submitted to BINGE/ Foxtel
  • Manage a pitch database and ensure we return feedback and/or outcomes within appropriate timeframes
  • Provide wellwritten and concise summaries of submissions and across projects in development to the Head of Scripted
  • Liaise with, and advise, producers to assist the attachment of writers or other script creatives to Scripted Originals productions in development
  • Assist Head of Scripted on overseeing titles on the production slate
  • Prepare internal presentations on the Scripted Originals slate
  • Represent BINGE/ Foxtel at domestic conferences, attend events and screenings for Scripted Originals where required
  • Build and maintain rapport with Australian Entertainment industry

Skills and Experiences We're Looking For

  • 5+ years in TV Drama or Comedy Production as a Script Development Executive
  • Experience working in a Production company and/or Network environment
  • Knowledge and passion for TV drama and comedy, appreciate trends in viewing and ability to predict what will be popular
  • High level of time management skills, reading and assessment skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Scripted Originals team and the broader Production teams
  • Keen observer of audience tastes and future trends
  • Passion for scripted storytelling with an understanding of the Australian Entertainment industry and global and domestic television landscape
  • Excellent relationship, negotiating and influencing skills must be able to demonstrate previous successes in building and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, managing multiple productions and collaborating across functions
