General Summary:

The Category Manager – Home plays a pivotal role in expanding the Adult & Infant Home Category (Hardlines & Softlines) by boosting Warner Bros. Discovery Consumer Products ANZ revenue across all product lines within the Home category (including but not limited to Bedding & Home Furnishings, Craft/Stationery, Party, Dinnerware/Drinkware/Food Storage, Greetings, Gifting, and Automotive).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that each licensee (including DTR Licensees) exceeds their contractual obligations
  • Ensure each licensee fulfills all contract terms - marketing expenditure, demographic targets, financial reporting, retail activation, and product development
  • Drive revenue and hit quarterly and annual budget goals
  • Collaborate with global internal stakeholders to optimize business outcomes
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with key licensees
  • Maximize retail distribution of Category products among key retailers
  • Evaluate potential new licensees, signing on new partners as licensees if criteria are met
  • Cultivate relationships with retail category buyers for effective product and promotional placement
  • Create and implement Category plans for the line of business to achieve WBDCP ANZ's growth objectives
  • Coordinate with various divisions and departments to leverage synergies within the company
  • Present existing and new business opportunities to current and potential licensing partners in collaboration with the Retail & Marketing department
  • Work closely with Creative & Marketing teams to execute Halo programs and maintain the Global Halo team informed about programs and relevant files
  • Foster strong relationships with key Company executives locally and internationally, and establish specific connections with category senior management in Burbank, overseas colleagues, and key global/overseas licensees to spur business growth
  • Regularly review Royalty Reports and Licensee Sales reports to meet business targets and strategies
  • Act as an integral, enthusiastic, and respectful member of the Team

Work Experience:

  • Preferably 3+ years' experience in a similar role
  • In-depth understanding of the Australian Home and Gifting market and industry practices in the entertainment and/or licensing sector
  • Experience in sales planning and forecasting

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proficient in Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint
  • Strong follow-up skills and a dedication to excellent customer service
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external parties to drive results
  • Proactive, accountable, and results-driven
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organization, and project management skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure
