Embark on a flavorful journey with us at the C&K Yuingi Childcare Centre. As an essential team member, you'll take on the role of kitchen hand, immersing yourself in our lively kitchen atmosphere. Each day from Monday to Friday, you'll dedicate 5 hours adding your unique touch to our meals, ensuring each dish is an enjoyable experience for our young learners.

As our esteemed Cook within our C&K Yuingi team, you'll create magical culinary encounters that nourish the bodies and minds of our children.

Utilizing our cutting-edge kitchen, you'll prepare tasty, nutritious meals and snacks that please even the pickiest of young taste buds, forming cherished mealtime memories and aiding children in becoming healthy, joyful, and confident lifelong learners. You will develop and present your menu with the close guidance of our Kitchen Operations Supervisor to guarantee all our little learners' dietary needs are well-supported.

And without extended hours, evenings, or weekend shifts, you'll relish a superior work-life balance with fixed, steady hours, enabling you to enjoy more quality time with loved ones.

What you'll contribute

To excel in this role, we would appreciate if you have:

  • Valid Blue Card and current Police Check (within three months or willingness to obtain these – C&K will cover the cost).
  • A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and Quality Food Supervisor Certificate would be advantageous, but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in preparing meals for young children or in a large commercial kitchen, plus an understanding of menu planning for dietary and nutritional needs.
