About the Opportunity

Join Serco at the Adelaide Remand Centre, located in the heart of Adelaide CBD, where you will lead as our Security Manager. Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of security operations, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of dynamic, static, and procedural security. What you'll be doing

As the Security Manager at the Adelaide Remand Centre, your role is pivotal in maintaining the facility's security integrity and operational efficiency. You will coordinate a wide array of security functions, including electronic surveillance and response readiness, to uphold the safety and well-being of all stakeholders. Your responsibilities will extend to managing security audits, overseeing emergency responses, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and protocols. This position demands a proactive approach to risk management and the ability to lead and inspire a team in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

About you - your ideal skills & experience

  • Certificate IV in Risk Management or other relevant education.
  • Holds and maintains HLTAID001 Provide CPR and HLTAID003 Provide First Aid certificates with at least 6 months currency on the certificate.
  • Complete Command of Serious Incidents training within six months of commencement in the role.
  • Proven leadership experience in security operations, ideally within a high-security environment.
  • Strong background in incident management, risk assessment, and crisis resolution.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage resources and personnel effectively.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle pressure and maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and protocols in security operations.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
