About the Role
Reporting to the Transport Strategy Coordinator, the core responsibilities include:

• Review, update and implement the Shire's RideSafe Strategy and Pedestrian Access Strategy.
• Contribute to the development of new or existing transport strategies and/or policies, including the Integrated Transport Strategy.
• Manage communication and engagement activities aimed at behavioural change to increase community uptake of active transport and public transport.
• Analyse transport data and work with consultants on transport investigations and provide strategic transport planning advice on projects and strategies.
• Plan and prioritise new footpaths, monitor footpath construction requests, and ensure the Shire's Principle Pedestrian Network register is current.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Transport Planning, Urban Planning, Behavioural Science, or other relevant qualification or experience is required.
• Experience in project management of transport related projects, or demonstrated ability to undertake community planning, investigation and analysis of transport data and trends.
• Demonstrated ability to provide specialist advice, decision making and recommendations on active and sustainable transport strategies and programs.
• Previous Local/State Government experience highly desirable.
• Commitment to living Mornington Peninsula Shire values.
