Clough, as part of a joint venture, is delivering the Project Ceres urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training, and business opportunities.

Clough currently has an opportunity for an additional Buyer to join the Supply Chain Team in Perth. In this role, you will effectively support projects and corporate offices for existing and new work along with awarded projects in Managing Procurement activities including sourcing, RFQ, bid clarification, and conforming commercial agreements in the corporate and project execution phase.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Issuing conformed Purchase Order agreements following Clough procedures.
  • Overseeing overall procurement and delivery process for assigned packages and 'Bulks' type procurement.
  • Coordinating with Engineering Leads for timely issuance of Scopes of work, MTO's, and associated documents for assigned RFQ packages.
  • Collaborating with Vendor management to Pre-qualifying Suppliers when necessary.
  • Ensuring utilization of existing MSA providers for relevant Goods and Services.

What you will contribute to the team:

  • Prior experience in a similar Buyer role.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing procurement of significant equipment packages for Oil & Gas and/or Mining and infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with EPC type lump sum and reimbursable projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Experience in expediting delivery of purchased equipment and associated Supplier documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of materials management systems and processes, with practical experience in maintaining purchasing/expediting data in materials management systems.
  • Previous exposure to working with SAP is highly advantageous.
