An exciting opportunity for a Lead Civil/Structural Design Engineer to join our collaborative Ventia Engineering Services (VES) team is available.

About the Role:
  • Practical application of engineering skills to solve engineering problems.
  • Preparation of engineering design documents, specifications, drawings, and scopes of work on time and within budget to meet project deadlines for assigned work packages.
  • Production of calculations required for the role that support design documentation.
  • Checking & approval of discipline documents.
  • Checking of interdisciplinary documents for compliance to client requirements and industry standards.
  • Travel to sites throughout Australia, as required.
What We're Looking For:
  • An engineering degree enabling full membership to Engineers Australia.
  • Relevant experience in civil engineering covering proposal preparation, conceptual engineering, feed and detailed engineering.
  • Experience in the design of reinforced concrete and steel structures, road work, drainage, water and effluent treatment, earthwork volume calculations, pipe supports, etc.
  • Ability to prepare clear calculations suitable for third-party verification checking.
  • Experience with civil and structural specifications and understanding and experience in the application of relevant industry standards and codes.
