About the Opportunity:


CleanCo is going through a significant growth period, with over 1GW of new renewable energy projects entering its portfolio over the next 2 years, and with further projected growth in the future.


Reporting to the General Manager Customer & Energy Markets (C&EM), the Physical Energy Manager will manage a team of experienced Physical Energy Traders who are responsible for optimising the returns from CleanCo's energy portfolio.


You will form a key part of CEM's senior leadership team, responsible for driving improvement and imbedding the team culture and strategy within the division and CleanCo more broadly.


You will be responsible for taking CleanCo's physical trading functions through this transition, with a focus on process improvement to ensure our systems and processes are developing as we progress.

In addition, the role will work to ensure the team strategies and ways of working support compliance and value through this growth period.

This exciting opportunity is based in Brisbane and includes a flexible in the office and working from home model.

About you:

  • Your background includes previous experience managing a Physical Energy Trading function that focuses on continuous development and delivering high quality business outcomes.
  • You bring significant experience creating a highperformance culture and setting the tone for a team of highly skilled professionals.
  • You have a demonstrated understanding of the trends influencing the energy sector and a track record for implementing practices in response to these changes.
  • You are an excellent communicator with strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
  • Your experience includes tertiary qualifications that provides you with leadership capabilities, expert quantitative skills, and the ability to work with big data that drives decision making.
  • You thrive on building strong relationships through effective communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • You have a passion to be part of something bigger than yourself, that contributes to the delivery of a clean energy future crafted in Queensland.
