The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals.

The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.


This is a fixed term (until May 2024, with possibility of extension) full time role that can be based in any Ahpra location.


In this role you will:

  • Prepare and conduct regular training programs and activities for our registration function
  • Support our Team Leaders with the delivery of targeted operational training on our processes and procedures to improve staff effectiveness
  • Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids) and contribute to operational procedure development
  • Observe, assess and coach employees with on the job training based on learning needs
  • Support the implementation of national policies and procedures to drive operational consistency
  • Be a key driver in delivering our values and capabilities to the team
  • Diploma/Degree of Business or equivalent (and/or relevant experience)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (mandatory)
  • Strong experience in planning and executing learning and development initiatives, systems, operational and behavioural change for a changing organisation, with national presence
  • Contemporary knowledge of the learning and development environment and practices with a tailored approach
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to work with stakeholders in all areas of the business and external providers
