This role is integral to the continued to growth of Computational Design at Aurecon, as we pursue industry-leading, model-first ways of working to support innovation and excellence in advisory, design, and delivery.

  • Developing and delivering computational design solutions to enhance project workflows
  • Prototyping solutions to design and analysis problems
  • Supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams to transform project delivery
  • Facilitate the growth of the computational design network through technical leadership, mentorship, and training
  • Participate in knowledge sharing within the digital team

As well as experience in a Computational Design Consultant role, you will bring with you a solid understanding of parametric modelling and/or computational design tools (we primarily use Grasshopper and Dynamo).

You'll come into the business with a willingness to learn new things, to use your unique perspective to challenge the status quo, and to work with people from all walks of life to help shape the way we approach engineering in the years to come.


  • Professional degree in AEC or related field.
  • 35 years professional experience with applied computation.
  • Thorough knowledge of Grasshopper/Rhino or Dynamo is required
  • Experience with Revit / BIM, Civil3d, C#, Python or AR is a benefit
  • Familiar with commonly used APIs in AEC.
  • Highly developed analysis and visual communication skills.
  • Strong communication and oral and written presentation skills.
  • Familiar with computational design thinking and associated methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Core competencies: precise, analytical, communicative, good at cooperation, independent
  • Share lessons learned and good news stories, enabling our teams to grow from a position of strength.
  • Target and initiate innovation programs such as automation to drive efficiency in our delivery team.
