Position Profile: We are looking for experienced individuals to join our After Hours Clinical Nurse Specialist team at Perth Children's Hospital.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist - After Hours, in collaboration with the Hospital Clinical Manager and afterhours Medical Teams, holds responsibility for:

  • The provision of quality patient care to all inpatient units.
  • Supervising the delivery of patient care, enhancing standards of practice, conducting staff education, and initiating research and quality improvement activities.
  • Offering a consultation service within their expertise and working together to enhance patient care quality and achieve desired outcomes in the patient population, focusing on patients with complex needs.

The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is the primary provider of pediatric healthcare in Western Australia, serving infants, children, and young people. CAHS comprises Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children's Hospital (PCH), employing over 6,500 staff across various locations.

Eligibility: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is a fundamental requirement for permanent public sector positions.

This role mandates a Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check.
