The Government Engagement and Strategic Initiatives team is newly formed team to enable greater organisational alignment and proactive government engagement.
About the role
You will have a key focus on achieving organisation growth within Red Cross' auxiliary role to the humanitarian services of public authorities within Victoria.
You will be a thought leader and execution partner for Red Cross Executives and Leaders in relation to government engagement, advocacy, and growth in government revenue.
You will collaborate to successfully tender for government opportunities of highest strategic and revenue value to Red Cross, and support Red Cross people to foster strong government relationships and a favourable policy environment that supports Red Cross' strategic objectives.
What you will bring
- Relevant prior experience working at executive level government and/or public sector, working with a range of senior stakeholders
- Relevant prior experience in developing successful government tenders and grants government grants and tenders and successful track record in achievement of revenue targets
- Demonstrated strong ability to navigate and influence through complex challenges and/or multi stakeholders to achieve outcomes
- Deep practical understanding of governments, the way they work and ability to foster effective government relations
- Demonstrated ability to work with and build rapport with others at various levels and ability to communicate in an audienceaware manner.
