Arborist / Climber

Rigoni Tree Solutions is seeking Trainee Arborists or Qualified Arborists and ground crew to join our team.

Maybe you already hold your Certificate III in Arboriculture, are currently completing it or are considering starting the qualification, either way we are looking for staff to join our team.

Our depot is based in Keysborough in Melbourne's south-east.

We work across a variety of sectors including large scale commercial works such as on main roads, freeways, council infrastructure projects and private work in all elements of arboriculture including tree and root pruning, removals, emergency makesafe works, stump grinding, report writing and Project Arborists.

Our highly professional team of experienced and passionate staff are committed to ensuring every job is completed to the highest standard with safety at the forefront at all times.

The position has a 3 month trial period with a view to permanency for the right applicant. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.

Our Services:

• Residential (Private):_ We provide arboricultural services to the Melbourne residential market including tree pruning and removals, root pruning, stump grinding and arborist reports
• Commercial & Insurance:_ Rigoni Tree Solutions holds a number of contracts and is a trusted partner with a number of commercial businesses and builders, offering insurance makesafe and clean up works, pruning, removals, reports and consultancy. This includes working on large infrastructure projects and roadways amongst many other commercial sites
• Local Government:_ We works with a number of Melbourne councils providing services such as tree pruning & removals, root pruning, root barriers, reports and consultancy services

Core responsibilities (role dependent)

• Perform tree maintenance/removal using both hand tools and chainsaws.
• Pruning trees from both the ground and aerially climbing and by EWP
• MR Truck driving
• Groundwork maintenanceStump grinding, mulching etc
• Chipper Operation
• Chainsaw maintenance and preoperational checks of all equipment

The following would be highly regarded:

• White Card (or willing to obtain)
• Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
• MR/HR licence (Manual Car licence is mandatory)
• Certificate III in Horticulture/Arboriculture or higher (for climbing arborist)
• Certificate II in ESI
• High risk Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence
• Current first aid level 2 certificate and CPR training
• Arboriculture experience highly desirable but not essential as full training can be provided
• Fit, healthy and work well within a team as well as individually
• Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic
• Welldeveloped mechanical aptitude and skills
• Strong commitment to and working knowledge of safe work practices

A full driver's licence and good driving record is essential. Driver Demerit check and Police check testing are all pre-employment requirements. Naturally, drugs and alcohol are not tolerated within the workplace.
