KU Sunbeam Preschool, was founded over 90 years ago and has strong reputation in the in the Alexandria community.

At the service we have a longstanding, passionate and caring team educating children between 2 to 6 years of age.

The service offers slightly extended hours of care until 4:30pm.


KU Sunbeam is an inclusive environment where children feel they belong and has specially designed indoor and outdoor spaces which encourage children to explore and learn within a nurturing environment.

We have a Indigenous garden in our playground meaning our program has lots of hands on gardening, research into native plants, discussion about bush food, and collaboration with families and the local community.


We are looking for an educator who is committed to children's learning and development and has an interest and love of gardening.

The role is full time (8 hours per day, M-F), permanent and accrues a monthly RDO.

Of course, you will need:

  • Australian working rights
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check
  • An ACECQA recognised Diploma
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
  • Completed training in Child Protection
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
  • Have received both initial COVID19 vaccinations.
