Dispensary Technician or Intern Pharmacist

This Full Time Intern Pharmacist/ Dispensary Technician Position involves the following tasks:

• 
  Support the dispensing Pharmacist through the performance of clerical duties in a timely and accurate manner.
• Remain up to date with ongoing issues affecting the dispensary.
• Assist in accurate dispensing of medications
• Select items for dispensing when specifically directed by the Pharmacist, selecting cautionary advisory labels as directed.

Maintain patient records in a professional and timely manner.

• Provide Professional patient counselling.
• Provide general administrative support.
• Provide
  continuous support and assistance to the schedule counter and other areas, to provide care that is of an exceptional standard.
• Perform clerical functions associated with the prescription dispensing, including the entering of prescription records, provided that a Pharmacist personally checks each patient's medical history before the dispensed medicine is supplied.

Assist in the Preparation of Webster packs for community patients

Support and encourage Generic Medication selection

Assist in the ordering of stock

Participate in the Guildcare Programs such as Clinical interventions and Meds Checks.

• Assist in sorting and finalising the claim
• Unpack stock and general housekeeping duties.

Qualifications and Knowledge Required:

• Completion of
  Pharmacy Degree
• Sound understanding of general pharmacy product knowledge.
• Experience in Dispensing medications
• Experience in Webster packing
