The Role:

Dev Ops Engineer (Python Web Application Productionisation)Immerge Recruitment is thrilled to unveil an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Dev Ops Engineer to join our esteemed client, a global leader with an innovative spirit, on a transformative 6-month contract If you're a Mid-level or Senior professional with a proven track record, specializing in Dev Ops and Python Web, this is your chance to shine.


Client Overview:

Our client, a pioneer in the finance industry known for fostering innovation, is seeking a skilled Dev Ops Engineer to contribute to their global markets business.

This 6-month contract offers a unique chance to collaborate with a dynamic team and contribute to cutting-edge projects that impact the global landscape.


Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline the deployment process of our Python Web application.
Onboard the application to security tools to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Develop and implement comprehensive unit tests to validate the functionality and performance of the application.
Integrate the application with Ping SSO for seamless single sign-on authentication.
Create technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system integrity.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS cloud technologies to automate the deployment process and enhance efficiency.
Monitor and optimise the performance, scalability, and reliability of the application in a cloud environment.

Qualifications and Experience required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Dev Ops Engineer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in Python programming language.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, Cloud Formation).
Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, Git Lab CI/CD).
Familiarity with security tools and practices (e.g., Sonar, Blackduck, or equivalent application).
Experience with single sign-on (SSO) solutions, preferably Ping Identity.
Solid understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
