Seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to join this lovely Brighton venue serving delicious Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fresh flavours and the ability to lead a dynamic kitchen team. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, inventory management, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. You will also be responsible for mentoring and training kitchen staff, ensuring consistency in execution, and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute interesting and seasonal menus that reflect our vision and meet the needs of our diverse customer base.
• Bring your energy and passion to lead a small and steady team.
• Ensure that all food preparation and cooking processes comply with local health regulations.
• Manage inventory levels and ordering with a complete understanding of food and wastage costs.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food presentation, and kitchen procedures.
• Collaborate with management to develop and grow the business to achieve targets.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef looking to advance.
• Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavours.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience running a busy and faced paced kitchen.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
