About the role


Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Royalty Analyst will focus on analysing royalties payable and receivable in relation to Standards Australia, ISO and IEC catalogue and international NSB's, and payables to ISO, IEC, SDO's and third-party licensors.


The position will work on a cross functional basis and act as the key business pivot in building and maintaining commercial systems, processes and tools to assist with the management and implementation of royalty processes.


What you'll do

  • Calculating and reconciling royalty income
  • Reporting and analysis on commercial compliance with distribution agreements
  • Coordinating and assisting the business in the development and management of a commercial catalogue maintenance facility
  • Compiling and issuing third party domestic royalty reports on a biannual basis
  • Completion of monthly royalty reconciliations for payables reporting including but not limited to ISO, IEC, Standards New Zealand (MBIE), CEN, ETSI, IEEE, and issuing reporting according to contracted deadlines
  • Preparing analysis and reports to support key decision making related to royalties
Many of these responsibilities require engagement across different teams and business units. Essential to your success will be your ability to work and collaborate across teams and business functions.

About you

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role in the publishing sector
  • University degree, or other relevant qualification, in a field such as business, commerce, accounting or data analysis
  • Exceptional command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and effective time management skills; and Problem solving and creative skills
