About the role


We are currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Labour, Employment and Workplace Safety team based in our Melbourne office.

This role is part of a dynamic national practice group and presents a fantastic opportunity to get involved in interesting employment law work within a vibrant, collaborative and friendly environment.

The team act for major Australian organisations across all industry sectors. Reporting into the practice group lead you will also provide high level secretarial support to other partners and lawyers.

What does the role involve?

  • Supporting the Practice Group lead with associated administrative tasks
  • Managing confidential firm information and opening new matters
  • Inputting and maintaining client data into client relationship software (Interaction)
  • Assisting with client queries and monthly client reporting requirements Managing the monthly billing process

To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter who works efficiently, uses initiative and has exemplary attention to detail.

You are highly organised and proactive in your approach. You enjoy supporting others and thrive on working collaboratively with other to contribute to the team's success.

Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential, as are excellent communication skills. You will be capable of using automated billing systems and client relationship management software (Elite 3E and InterAction preferred).
