Key Responsibilities:

As the ICT Technical Lead, you will be required to:

  • Support the Project Manager providing technical design and delivery oversight, delivery assistance, taking inputs from architecture, networks, security and other relevant domains to meet the end-to-end technology needs.
  • Provide strong technical leadership in the development and review of technical designs and delivery of endtoend solutions.
  • Work with the external vendors, service providers and other government agencies, IT architecture, security, network and delivery teams to ensure IT solutions are designed, secured, delivered and supported appropriately, meeting the solution requirements of the department.
  • Provide technical leadership of new and emerging technologies relevant to the workspace.
  • Undertake other duties within the Department of Youth Justice, Employment, Small Business and Training, as required.
  • Provide support for users and perform troubleshooting, including root cause analysis of production issues and documenting resolutions.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships to facilitate effective communication and stakeholder involvement to support requirements gathering, clarifying objectives, and managing expectations to guarantee the successful implementation of recommended solutions.
  • Contribute to initiatives that positively impact stakeholders within the VET domain.

Role Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience with firewalls preferably Palo Alto, F5, proxies, Microsoft Active Directory, onprem and cloud services and technologies (AWS/Azure), Microsoft Server Operating Systems, virtual machines, SOE and virtual desktops.
  • Experience in integrating and consuming Azure platform services across components using Pipelines, Dataverse and Power Apps Flows.
  • Comprehensive understanding of DevOps pipeline and release and environment management, within an Agile delivery environment.
  • Plan and design Azure API and associated data platform solutions.
  • Design and integrate Azure platforms in a manner which allows the management and provision of data in a secure and reliable manner.
  • Deliver and present proof of concept variants to prospective customers.
  • Undertake requirements analysis and solution architecture design.
  • Work with big data developers to ensure high quality access to and supply of specified data.
  • Ensure platforms and data solutions can be deployed and operated in a highly repeatable and predictable manner through interaction and collaboration with DevOps specialists.
  • Provide strategic development and implementation of a project, related business strategies and organisational change.
  • Collaborate, liaise, and negotiate with stakeholders, including project sponsors, management, Program Board members, other department staff and external project stakeholders in leading related activities.
  • Provide guidance to project stakeholders to facilitate informed business decisions that improve business processes and meet changing business needs.
  • Proven high level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program/project environment.
