Henderson, Australia Allship Engineering Full time
Boilermaker required for busy marine engineering facility located in Henderson. This role primarily consists of site-based work at Henderson, Defence, and marine sites in the Perth/Fremantle region.

$43-48 p/h, overtime and penalty rates offered. Additional hourly rate for every welding code held.

Allship Engineering undertake a
4-day working routine; Mon-Thu, Overtime opportunities offered but not guaranteed.

Weld test will be required to confirm competence.

Duties

  • Conduct fabrication tasks relevant to your qualifications and experience
  • Inform Supervisors when Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) do not adequately capture the necessary safety assessments and associated mitigations
  • Inform Supervisors when ITP's do not adequately reflect the identified task requirements
  • Identify mandatory task requirements through critical review of Work Instructions, Repair Specifications and Repair Plans
  • Actively engage in the completion of Task Packs, inclusive of ITP and SWMS
  • Inform Supervisors of resource shortages required to complete tasks
  • Report on WHS issues encountered onsite
  • Comply with Client and Site requirements as detailed in Client Inductions, Site Inductions and as directed by Client Safety Officers
  • Contribute to the training and development of Fabrication Apprentices
  • At all times, do all that is reasonably practicable to ensure your own safety, and the safety of people around you.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum Cert III in Engineering
  • Fabrication Trade (MEM31922) or equivalent
  • Ability to gain welding codes
  • White Card
  • C Class Licence

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in Marine Systems
  • Experience in welding accordance with WPS and class requirements
  • Experience with FCAW, MMAW, and flame brazing
  • Experience with GTAW welding of copper nickel

  • Physical ability to climb ladders and stairwells as is required in Marine Sites.

Salary:
$ $48.00 per hour

Expected hours:
No less than 38 per week
