This pivotal role involves managing the Geelong refinery, overseeing the arrival and distribution of crudes and feedstocks, ensuring availability in required quantities and qualities to meet commitments and quality standards, and optimizing stock and asset utilization.

You should enjoy problem-solving and thinking on your feet, taking proactive measures to optimize refinery units and address issues related to early or late shipment arrivals. The refinery crude scheduler actively contributes to Crude Acceptance Matrix (CAM) and Crude approval activities.

Responsibilities include scheduling crude and solvents production units in alignment with the agreed Production Plan, exerting direct influence on daily refinery production, including crude rates, blending, and downstream unit operations.

• Tertiary qualification with a background in engineering, science, or business major.
• Significant commercial experience involving forecasting, planning, and scheduling within the supply chain operations.
• Demonstrated excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, even amidst competing deadlines.
• Proficient in building cooperative relationships, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving skills, with a talent for thinking laterally.
