Cloudera is in search of a Solutions Architect to join the ANZ Professional Services team. This role offers the chance to create highly scalable solutions for challenging data issues utilizing technologies like Hadoop, NiFi, and Spark. The position involves client interaction, blending consulting expertise with deep technical design in the realm of Big Data. The role includes traveling across the Asia Pacific region to engage with diverse industries and prominent customer entities. The work base could be in Canberra, Melbourne, or Sydney.

As a Solutions Architect, your responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with clients to implement Big Data solutions using the Cloudera Data Platform and Cloudera Dataflow
  • Designing and executing Hadoop and NiFi platform setups and configurations
  • Performing platform installations and upgrades for secure cluster configurations
  • Assessing distributed production deployments and offering performance optimization recommendations
  • Documenting and presenting intricate architectures for customer technical teams
  • Working closely with Cloudera teams to ensure project consulting success
  • Leading projects to successful conclusions
  • Creating technical documents, blogs, and knowledge-base articles
  • Engaging in pre- and post-sales activities, aiding both sales and product teams in understanding customer needs
  • Staying updated on Hadoop Big Data ecosystem technologies
  • Participating in speaking engagements as required

If you have the following, we are interested:

  • Government Clearance NV1 or above highly valued
  • 10+ years of Information Technology and System Architecture experience
  • 5+ years of Professional Services experience in architecting large-scale solutions
  • 5+ years in designing and deploying large-scale Hadoop solutions
  • Understanding of big data use-cases and common design patterns in Hadoop environments
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL, and data integration concepts
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into technical needs
  • Experience in data transformation and processing
