Tax Director – Transaction/M&A Tax

I am collaborating with a recognized boutique independent advisory and funds management firm. • Handling some of the largest, complex, and most influential transactions in the market.

Reporting to the Managing Directors, the key responsibilities of the role include:

Client facing work involves:
  • Performing tax due diligence and structuring to support buy-side and sell-side transactions.
  • Designing and implementing private equity and venture capital funds as well as management equity plans.
  • Being part of a team with senior M&A tax professionals from reputable backgrounds, offering hands-on experience.
Firm building involves:
  • Playing a crucial role in building and nurturing relationships with existing clients or targets within a growing business.
  • Contributing innovative ideas to expand the business and receiving support to implement them.
  • Participating in a comprehensive team approach to business development and collaborating closely with senior team members to increase market share.
Being a valued team member involves:
  • Demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset and initiative as a self-starter.
  • Confidently sharing opinions with senior team members.
  • Working collaboratively across functional and geographical boundaries.
  • Exploring new ways to enhance business practices according to your interests and skills.
  • Regular interactions with a coach to shape daily activities and oversee long-term career development.
About you:
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in a top or mid-tier accounting or legal firm focusing on international tax, M&A, or corporate tax.
  • Preferably, experience in M&A tax for buy-side and sell-side transactions.
  • Comprehensive tax advisory experience covering income tax law, regulations, and guidance.
  • Holding a degree in Accounting or Law.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confidence in contributing positively to the team.
