Electrorig (a division of McNab) is an established contractor based on the Gold Coast, known for installing and maintaining project-based hoists, lifts, and cranes nationally and internationally. The team at Electrorig is dedicated to delivering the most reliable hoists on the market, ensuring safe and quality outcomes for clients.Duties:
  • Ability to competently MIG and structural weld
  • Provide knowledge of welding processes to the site team
  • Select appropriate materials for preparation - structural components, plates, pipes
  • Operation of tools and equipment on-site
  • Utilize correct welding techniques for a quality finish
  • Assemble metal parts to ensure proper alignment and structural integrity
  • Inspect and quality check completed work to meet specifications and standards
  • Conduct defect and maintenance repairs or modifications on existing structures
  • Collaborate with site and project teams to troubleshoot and enhance fabrication processes
  • Adhere to safety procedures, guidelines, and wear proper PPE
  • Maintain fabrication tools, equipment, and workspaces
What we are looking for:
  • Trade qualified Boilermaker
  • Hold a Construction White Card
  • Experience in MIG and structural welding
  • Knowledge of different metals and welding techniques
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transport
  • Rigging experience considered advantageous
