This is the perfect role for a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Auto-Electrician to transition from a 100% hands-on role to more of a hybrid role - a customer focused technical role with some hands-on support.

Day to day you will:

• Partner with customers and the Bus dealer network to provide in-field support and technical assistance across the Perth and WA region
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge and technical expertise, including hybrid and electric bus technologies
• Support the Volvo Bus team with quality reporting and inspection of body units
• Review of warranty scraps and complete assessments of warranty claims
• Provide in field mechanic or auto-electrical assistance when needed
• Monitor dealer technical reporting systems

Volvo Bus Australia are a team of 23, geographically dispersed across QLD, VIC and WA. You will report to the Contract and Technical Support Manager and work alongside one other Field Service Engineer.

• A Heavy Vehicle Mechanical or Auto-Electrician qualification
• Proven experience working with buses and/or trucks
• Excellent interpersonal skills and confident in your communication style
• A focus on providing positive customer service experiences
• A strong passion for the automotive industry
